Descon is a macOS desktop app for designers. It lives in your Mac's notch and turns moodboard references into a real design system — palette, type, tokens, and a written brief — so when you vibe code or hand work to a coding agent, you start from a theme instead of a blank page.
Yes. Descon is built for product designers, brand designers, design engineers, developers who design, design college students, and anyone in the creative field who collects references and then builds with AI coding tools. It runs fully on-device on macOS 26 or later.
Hover the notch and drop the images you're already collecting. Descon extracts colours, helps name the direction on-device, and exports design-tokens.json plus design-brief.md — plain files any coding agent or codebase can read.
Two plain files. design-tokens.json holds your colour ramps, semantic slots, gradients, type, spacing and radius scales. design-brief.md is the readable version: the direction, the palette rationale, elevation notes and your do's and don'ts. Both are generic — no proprietary format, nothing to lock you in.
macOS 26 or later on Apple silicon. The on-device model needs Apple Intelligence, which is why those are hard requirements rather than recommendations. A notch is the nicest way to use it, but the app works on any display — and if the model isn't available, Descon falls back to describing what it detected rather than doing nothing.
No, and no. There's no sign-in, ever. Your projects are ordinary folders on your disk, and the AI runs entirely on your Mac through Apple's Foundation Models. Nothing you drag in leaves your machine. The only time Descon goes online is once, to redeem your invite code.
Descon is free for now while we invite early users. It will be paid later as a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Early folks will be looked after when pricing lands.

Nothing. Your projects are folders on your disk and they stay exactly where they are, readable by anything. Descon would stop generating new themes and exports, but everything you've already made — including files you've exported — remains yours and untouched.
