Who we are
Descon is a macOS app made by Toffee Design Studios. This page covers the Descon website, the waitlist, invite redemption, and the Mac app.
Questions: founder.descon@gmail.com
What we collect on the website
If you join the waitlist, we store your email address and any short note you leave. That information is kept in our database (Supabase) so we can send invites.
When someone joins, we may get a one-off email alert through Resend. We do not send you marketing newsletters from that form.
The site does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers today.
What the Mac app stores
Descon runs on your Mac. Your projects, images, colours, and exports stay on your device. We do not upload your moodboards or design files to our servers.
If you redeem an invite, a signed licence is saved in your Mac Keychain so the app can stay unlocked offline. That licence is tied to your machine.
Invite redemption
When invite codes go live, redeeming one may send a machine identifier to our invite service (Cloudflare) so the same code cannot unlock unlimited devices. We may also keep the email that received the invite so support can match a request to a code.
That email is not shown back to the app.
How we use your information
To run the waitlist and send invites.
To answer support messages you send us.
To keep invite codes fair (activation limits).
We do not sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
Waitlist entries stay until you ask us to remove them, or until we no longer need them for invites and support.
Invite records stay while the code is valid and for a reasonable period after, for support and abuse prevention.
Project files on your Mac stay until you delete them in the app or remove the app data.
Your choices
Email founder.descon@gmail.com to ask what we hold about you, or to ask us to delete your waitlist entry.
You can also remove Descon and its local data from your Mac at any time.
Children
Descon is aimed at professional designers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
